Who we are

Spine-Help is operated by Brett Bailey, an independent International Case Manager working exclusively with Ortho Care Global (“OCG”) to support international patients seeking evaluation and treatment in Germany. The website address is https://www.spine-help.com.

Information we receive

If you contact Brett by email, telephone, an external scheduling service, or the website evaluation form, we may receive your name, contact information, city, state or region, country, selected treatment area, consent record, appointment details, and the information you choose to provide. Evaluation-form submissions are stored in the website’s secured WordPress database and may be exported to Brett’s contact database for inquiry management, case coordination, and follow-up.

Like most websites, the hosting service may automatically record limited technical information such as an IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of a request for security, troubleshooting, and operational purposes.

Medical records and imaging

Spine-Help provides blank evaluation questionnaires for download, but it does not intentionally collect or store completed medical questionnaires, medical imaging, or other medical records on its WordPress hosting. Please do not send sensitive medical information through ordinary email or SMS.

Completed forms and medical imaging should be submitted through OCG’s designated secure German upload portal. Files uploaded there are handled under the privacy, security, access, and retention practices established by OCG and its secure-cloud provider. Authorized personnel may access submitted material as needed to coordinate and perform the requested medical evaluation.

How information is used

  • To respond to inquiries and communicate with prospective or current patients
  • To explain and coordinate the OCG evaluation, travel, treatment, and follow-up process
  • To maintain website security and reliable operation
  • To meet applicable legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations

Spine-Help does not sell personal information and does not use patient inquiries for unrelated advertising.

Service providers and international processing

Services involved in operating the website and responding to patients may include DreamHost for website hosting, Google Workspace and Google Calendar for communication and scheduling, OCG and its affiliated medical professionals in Germany, and OCG’s secure-cloud provider for medical-file transfer. Information may therefore be processed in the United States and Germany, subject to the safeguards and agreements applicable to each service.

Retention

General inquiry and coordination records, including stored evaluation-form submissions and exported contact records, are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide requested services, manage patient inquiries and follow-up, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. Medical files submitted to OCG’s portal are subject to OCG’s medical and legal retention requirements.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy. Some information may need to be retained where required for medical, contractual, or legal reasons.

To make a privacy request concerning communications handled by Spine-Help, contact brett@spine-help.com. Requests concerning medical records held by OCG may be referred to the appropriate OCG privacy contact.

Security and external links

Reasonable measures are used to protect information, including encrypted website connections and use of the designated secure portal for medical files. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. This website also links to external services whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children

This website is not directed to children. A parent or legal guardian should contact Brett regarding any inquiry for a patient under 18.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as the website or patient-coordination process changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
